Mila Nowacka
is an art historian and visual artist grounded in the VJ community. She is fascinated with relations between colors and image distortions, psychology and the neurocognitive aspect of visual perception. She creates drawings and visualizations to music using various media – analogue TVs and video mixers, virtual environments, lighting and set design.
During the Congress, Mila Nowacka will present her film WIDT, created as a result of experimenting with audio and video devices. While creating the film, Mila worked with the voice of her sister Antonina Nowacka, with whom she forms the WIDT band. She noticed that her sister’s voice resonated perfectly with the feedback effect of 1980s video devices.
