is a visual artist, graphic designer, book author and a lecturer. In her creations she includes the varied perspectives of other species, especially those exploited and discriminated against by humans. For Małgorzata, art is a tool for intervention and protest.
As part of the Congress, Małgorzata Gurowska together with a local guide will lead a walk along the trail of wild strawberries, which grow densely in Sokołowsko and nearby area. The common wild strawberry grows wild in forests all over Europe. In Sokołowsko, it can be found on the rocky ledges of the nearby melaphyre mine, which consumed the slopes of Bukowiec and Graniczna mountains. Wild strawberries from Sokołowsko are a reminder of the forest that once grew here. Perhaps soon a jar of wild strawberry jam will become a vessel for an idyllic memory of a landscape that no longer exists. During the Congress, Kawiarenka, the local café famous for its meringue cake, will offer a congress meringue served with wild strawberry picked on the trail leading to the melaphyre mine.
