Katarzyna Korytowska

is a perfume composer. Professionally, she supports people in discovering their smell preferences, conducts olfactory workshops and artistic activities around scenting. She deepens her interest in the world of scent and sound by co-presenting a cyclic radio program entitled WĘSZ (SNIFF) in Radio Kapitał. She is the co-founder and co-curator of HER Docs Film Festival. Her practice revolves around interdisciplinary forms of activism and community action in which she eagerly incorporates sensory perspectives.

During the Congress Katarzyna will lead an olfactory walk – a collective mapping of Sokołowsko’s scent landscape. The walk is an encouragement to create an alternative map and to get to know the neighborhood deeper through the sense that has the strongest emotional impact. Deep smelling will be recorded in jointly composed perfumes.
