Edka Jarząb
is a sound artist who practices deep listening as a starting point for sound activism. She is an author of radio plays and interventions created with the use of voice, radio waves, field recordings and electronics.
During the Congress, inside of the platforms/hunting pulpits scattered around Sokołowsko, you’ll find instructions for deep listening exercises prepared by Edka Jarząb. The platforms are located in the most beautiful places – at the edge of the forest, where wild animals graze on sunny meadows. We will try to take over these strange human structures and use them as places for practicing deep listening. Visitors to the platforms in Sokołowsko will be offered exercises relating to sound ecology and the Hindu rag system, in which each time of day has its own assigned key.
